The raised, winch-equipped Power Wagon inside the 2500 Heavy Duty (HD) line offered rock-crawling capabilities. Still, the Rebel in the 1500 family of Ram Trucks left a gap in the center of Ram's inventory of aficionado pickups. This is where the new Rebel comes in. Mopar's answer? Introducing the Rebel trim level for a 2500 HD range allows customers to purchase it with either a diesel or an internal combustion engine. The result is a new trim level for the Ram 2500 HD capable of becoming sporty and elegant in 2023.
The Rebel HD is positioned in Ram's 2500 portfolio between Laramie and the Power Wagon. Its purpose is to elevate the bold visage of the Rebel 1500 up to the next level at a price point that is somewhat more reasonable than that of the Power Wagon. Other characteristics include an off-road-tuned 3-link front and 5-link rear suspension, skid plates, a distinctive exterior treatment that is exclusive to the Rebel, forceful off-road rubber measuring 20 inches in diameter (with 18-inches available as an option), a limited-slip differential, as well as locking rear axle, and skid plates.
